Ever since lockdown procedures were executed, we’ve been bored. Like, EXTREMELY bored. So bored that you cleaned the house, did laundry, AND Clorox/Lysol/Germ-Xed all surface areas you possibly can without anyone nagging you to do so or you just made your kids to it.
Here are a list of things I’ve done while quarantined. Feel free to post what you did during this quarantine time!
Number 1: Netflixed (Is that even a word?)
I know everyone Netflix’s but, binge watching every show that was on your Watch List since the beginning of time because you’re a healthcare professional? C’mon. That’s the most satisfying feeling when you can do a mental check-off of shows you’ve watched. I became more “cultured” or in the process of “being cultured” some may say!
Carole Baskin Definitely Killed Her Husband. – Which show is this from? (lol)
Carole-
My five shows that I either watched or currently watching.
The inspiration was overwhelming! Thus, a couple of desserts were made!
Number 2: Finished A Book
I don’t read novels very often only because after a sixteen plus hour shift, I just want to sleep. But the ‘rona outbreak shortened shifts lately, thus gave me more time to take care of my health and finish my book that I have tried to finish over the last three months which somewhat a silver-lining.
Into The Magic Shop by James Doty, MD
This was such an amazing novel that teach you how to control your emotions in a high stress environment. It’s, also, an autobiography of Dr. Doty’s journey as a neurosurgeon so I definitely recommend this book as read of the month!
Number 3: Found New Music
I don’t know about y’all but I listened to the After Hours album The Weeknd released and OH MY GOODNESS! I was distraught for days after listening to the album on repeat. This album definitely gave me that 80’s feel with the techno-esque background.
Here’s the tracklist.
It was difficult to choose which were my favorites. As you can tell from my notes, majority were my favorites. I listened to this album nine times in a row! Danced like a maniac about 200,000 times from cooking cereal to mopping the door! Yes, door ’cause why not?
Number 4: TikTok Professional
Not really a professional but just enough! I joined the dark side.
In speculation, there are many creative artists that showcase their creativity on this application from do-it-yourselfs (diys) to drawing and other artistries.
Not going to lie, I enjoyed watching TikTok dances that these younglings have created even though my joints are a little stiff. People may say that I am “too old” for the app but if knowing just a simple dance that can connect people together while having pure fun, then that’s the app for me!
POSITIVE VIBES ONLY!
2020 started out crappy but, hey, we’re finding ways to connect with people on different platforms we would’ve never known we could.
Follow me on tiktok 😀 @yumi_ha0
That’s a zero, guys. Not the letter o. Just letting y’all know haha
Peep that snippet below and let’s be friends!
Number 5: Learned The Ukulele
Introducing, Lyla!
Isn’t she B-E-A-U-TIFUL?! A cherry soprano from Fender! Funny story is that I’m not musically inclined, but a girl can believe. BELIEVE, my momma said.
Anyways, I saw her on sale one day and just thought she was the cutest little thing then, popped out Lyla as my new child.
If you’re interested in purchasing a ukulele check out the photo below!
This is the same ukulele I have from Amazon! It comes with a gig bag, tuner and an instructional DVD?!?!?! How amazing is that?! You get it all in one place. Saves you time.
If you’re a novice, click the button below for a PDF file that I made of a few beginner chords that is most common in songs!
That concludes my productiveness and I hope you enjoyed this little read!
I would love to know what you did during this “quarantine” time!
